Summary of review and consultation process

These qualifications were reviewed as part of the Horticulture Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ).  It was initially intended that a new Level 2 horticulture qualification would be developed, which would replace these qualifications; however, this did not subsequently occur and it was determined that an existing New Zealand qualification would be appropriate for use in this sector.

Main changes resulting from the review

These qualifications have been reviewed and will not be formally replaced.  People interested in a suitable qualification relating to this sector can use the New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2) [Ref: 2218].
