Extension of expiry date of Construction Technology and Quantity Surveying Theory unit standards 9961 and 10042

 

The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation has extended the expiry date of the unit standards listed above.

 

Date new versions published                                                          July 2015

 

Reason for the extension of expiry date

 

The unit standards are compulsory in the following expiring qualifications:

National Diploma in Construction Management (Level 6) [Ref: 0356],

National Diploma in Architectural Technology (Level 6) [Ref: 0357], and

National Diploma in Quantity Surveying (Level 6) [Ref: 0358].

 

The above qualifications have been replaced by the New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Level 6) with strands in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying [Ref: 2420] and the New Zealand Diploma in Architectural Technology (Level 60 [Ref: 2416].

 

The expiry date of the unit standards has been extended to allow providers additional time for their learners to complete the above National Diplomas.  The change in last date of assessment is so that the qualifications and unit standards are aligned.

 

Main changes

 

The last date for assessment of the unit standards has been extended from 31 December 2016 to 31 December 2018.
