Revision of The Skills Organisation CMR

 

The Skills Organisation has completed the revision of the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) above.

 

Date new version published                                                             June 2015

 

The next CMR review is planned to take place during 2017.

 

Summary of Revision

 

The CMR has been revised to incorporate the industry sectors of Cranes and Lifting Equipment (CMR 0025) and Industrial Rope Access, Rigging and Scaffolding (CMR 0183), to better reflect The Skills Organisation’s consent to assess and moderation requirements.  As the standards in the scopes of CMRs 0025 and 0183 are reviewed, they will be transferred to the scope of CMR 0003.

 

No detail from the consent to assess criteria of CMR 0025 or CMR 0183 has been omitted in the revised requirements of CMR 0003.

 

Compliance with new requirements

 

Requirements for consent to assess will apply from June 2015.

 

Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from June 2015.

 

Organisations with consent to assess will be expected to be able to demonstrate compliance with the CMR from December 2015 onwards.

Requirements for Consent to Assess (RCA)

 

Industry or sector-specific requirements for consent to assess

·         Inclusion of Criteria 1,2,3,6, and 7 for Industrial Rope Access, Rigging and Scaffolding from CMR 0183 as Appendix 11.

·         Inclusion of Criteria 1,2,3,6, and 7 for Cranes, Lifting Equipment from CMR 0025 as Appendix 12.

 

There are no significant changes that will impinge on the ability of TEOs to meet these requirements.
