The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2019.
Summary of review and consultation process
A mandatory sector review of qualifications for the drilling sector occurred between 2011 and 2014. The review included broad consultation with industry and training provider stakeholders to ensure that the new qualifications would meet current and future needs.
The review resulted in a recommendation that the national qualifications listed above be replaced by New Zealand qualifications.
The replacement New Zealand qualifications have been listed and the national qualifications have been designated expiring.
