Summary

NQS initiated the review of unit standards 26622-26627 as part of the planned work cycle.  These unit standards are used to assess literacy and numeracy in secondary schools, tertiary education organisations and workplaces.  They are also used for the literacy and numeracy component of the National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA) and the numeracy component of University Entrance.

Feedback from users of the standards, and from the Ministry of Education, indicated that these standards were fit for purpose and a full review was not needed at this time.  Therefore, the unit standards were rolled over.
