Summary
As part of the development of new qualifications for the beauty industry, HITO’s Beauty Advisory Group reviewed the standards listed above.
The review of these standards has resulted in updated outcomes and evidence requirements that reflect current industry practice, and align the required skills and knowledge with the Graduate Profile Outcomes in the proposed New Zealand qualifications for the beauty sector.
The Advisory Group has endorsed the changes made to the standards, and the development of a new standard.
Main changes
· The titles of standards 27645, 27645, and 27648 were amended to reflect changes made to their content.
· One new standard was developed.
· Purpose statements, explanatory notes, entry information, outcomes, evidence requirements, and range statements were updated to ensure they are fit for purpose and to ensure clarity for users.
The last date for assessment of the superseded version of these standards is 31 December 2018. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
