Competenz has completed the extension of the expiry date of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published                                                          November 2015

Summary

The unit standards listed above are currently designated to expire on 31 December 2016.

The Targeted Review of Qualifications in the Manufacturing sector has resulted in a full unit standards review and resource development.

As part of the TroQ process Competenz develops transition plans as required by NZQA but in reality, given the vast difference between National Certificates and New Zealand Certificates in size, outcomes and detailed content, there is no relationship between the two so the ITO’s policy is that the learner finishes what they start.

It is therefore necessary to extend the expiry date of the unit standards to allow enough time for qualification candidates to complete the requirements of their programmes.
