Summary
The review of the unit standards above was prompted by feedback that some of the evidence requirements and range statements imposed an unintended barrier to achievement.
The current unit standards were reviewed to remove these barriers while ensuring that they remained fit for purpose.
Consultation on the changes was carried out through a series of meetings and workshops with key sector representatives to seek feedback and endorsement during assessment development.
Main changes
· Evidence requirement 3.5 for unit standard 23920 has been amended.
· Evidence requirement 1.1 and its range statement for unit standard 23923 have been amended.
· Evidence requirement 2.1 was removed from unit standard 28984.
· The range statement for outcome 1 of unit standard 28985 was removed and applied in the relevant evidence requirements instead.
