Competenz has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
These unit standards were reviewed as part of the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) process for the suite of qualifications for the Fire Protection industry sector.
On commencement of the TRoQ in October 2013, it was determined that the review could not be successfully completed until the structure and content of the proposed qualifications had been determined.
Competenz set up a Governance Group and Technical Groups to help with the review of the unit standards. The reviewed unit standards have been endorsed by the TRoQ Governance Group in October 2014.
References were updated to reflect the current legislations, regulations, and industry standards.
Titles, purpose statements, outcome statements, evidence requirements, and range statements, where relevant, have been reworded to reflect changes in the sector, or to clarify and simplify.
Changes were made to the titles, outcome statements, evidence requirements, and range statements of the standards for clarity and to ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Special notes were updated.
The level and credit value for unit standard 26423 has increased to reflect complexity level and the actual time required to achieve the skills.
The credit value for unit standard 26424 has increased to reflect the actual time required to achieve the skills.
One new unit standard has been developed.
