Summary of review and consultation process

As a result of the Motor Industry and Industrial Textile Fabrication Sector Targeted Review of Qualifications process it was identified that the above qualifications were no longer required by industry. Some of these have been used and some have not. It is unclear as to why this has eventuated, but it probably relates to one or more of the following: available resources at the time, and/or industry views of the newly listed qualifications and/or knowledge that the TRoQ would produce new quals within a short timeframe.

It was also noted that the discontinued qualifications have had little or no use in the last few years. There are no enrolments on programmes leading to the qualifications and there will not be, therefore they have been discontinued.
