National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Electrical) (Level 4) with strands in Electricity Supply Electrician, Electrical Fitter, and Electrical Technician [Ref: 1295]
The Skills Organisation has completed the revision of the expiring qualification above to facilitate achievement of this qualification.
Replacement qualification
New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory and Practice (Trade) (Level 4) [Ref: 2388].

Summary of review and consultation process
Assessment in the workplace identified that unit standard 26019 in the Electrical Technician Strand could not be achieved. This unit standard was deleted and unit standard 27655 was added. All standards listed for this strand are required.

Transition
Existing trainees enrolled in version 3 or 4 can either complete this qualification or transfer their results to the version 5 of the qualification.
It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements. However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to The Skills Organisation at the address below. Appeals will be considered on a case by case basis.
