MITO New Zealand Incorporated has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published                                                          April 2016

Planned review date                                                                           December 2021

Summary

As a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications unit standards from the Motor Industry subfield have been reviewed.  These unit standards were updated using input from industry and provider representatives.  It was decided to set a date for 5 years for a full review to take place.

Main changes

·         Changes were made to the titles, outcome statements, evidence requirements, and range statements of the unit standards for clarity and to ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.

·         Explanatory notes were updated to improve consistency and to make the outcomes and evidence requirements clearer and easier to read.

·         Credits and levels were updated to better reflect the content of the unit standards.

·         Unit standards 21667 and 21707 were replaced by unit standard 29371.

·         Unit standard 24234 was replaced by unit standard 29372.

·         Unit standard 24336 was replaced by unit standard 29373.

·         Unit standard 21712 had duplicate content to unit standard 24008, some content from unit standard 21712 has been moved into unit standard 24008 and unit standard 21712 has been given a review category D.

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2018.  Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.

Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2018
