Careerforce has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published April 2016

Planned review date December 2021

Summary

The review of the unit standards above was carried out to update skill and knowledge requirements for cleaners and to create a more integrated framework of assessment.

The unit standards were reviewed to ensure that they are fit for purpose, relevant to the cleaning sector, and reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in the new Level 3 qualification. The standards listed were replaced by twelve new unit standards which were developed to meet the needs of the cleaning sector.

To assist in developing the unit standards, a sector panel representing cleaners and industry leaders was consulted. This same panel informed the New Zealand Certificate in Cleaning (Level 3) with optional strands in Specialist Cleaning and Supervision

[Ref: 3025].
