NZQA Māori Qualifications Services has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

The standards were reviewed and amended to ensure that they are relevant and fit for purpose and that their outcomes are achievable, coherent, and consistent with valid assessment practices.

 

The review was carried out in consultation with the Whakaruruhau.  Draft standards were published on the NZQA website and customers were invited to submit feedback.  All amendments were endorsed by the Whakaruruhau Hauora.

 

The last day for assessment of superseded versions of the reviewed standards is 31 December 2019.

 

Main changes

 

·      Changes were made to the following titles – 16061, 16064, 18352, 18353, 18356, 18357 to better reflect the unit standard outcomes.

·      Changes to purpose statements, explanatory notes, outcomes, evidence requirements and range statements were made to ensure clarity for users.

·      Unit standard 18362 was designated expiring and replaced by unit standard 29559.

 

Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2019
