The New Zealand Marine and Composites Industry Training Organisation (NZMAC ITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published                                                          December 2016

Planned review date                                                                           December 2020

Summary

NZMAC ITO carried out a review to better align these unit standards to the graduate outcomes of the New Zealand qualifications relating to the marine and composite industries. The term composite has been included to better reflect the gazetted coverage of NZMAC ITO, and the unit standards have also been updated to reflect the new health and safety legislation.

Main changes

·      Credits for unit standards 18162, 23042, 23043, and 25114 have increased from 4 to 5, and in standard 23041 from 3 to 5 to better reflect the learning and assessment time.

·      Credits for unit standard 23049 have decreased from 6 to 5 to better reflect the learning and assessment time.

·      Unit standard titles and content have been updated to include reference to the composite industry.

·      Explanatory notes have been updated to reflect changes in legislation.
