NZ Marine and Composites Industry Training Organisation (NZMAC ITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

NZMAC ITO carried out a review to better align these core standards to the graduate outcomes of the New Zealand qualifications in Marine or Composite Industry. The term composite has been included to better reflect the scope of NZMAC ITO, and units have also been updated to reflect the new Health and Safety Legislation. The review was conducted at NZMAC ITO workplace. Consultation with other qualification developers was carried out by email.

 

Main changes

 

·      3183, 23036, and 26561 have increased in credits from 4 to 5 and; 18170 and 25118 have increased credits from 3 to 5 to better reflect the learning and assessment time.

·      Unit standards 3183, 18170, and 25118 titles and content have been updated where required to include reference to the composite industry.

·      Explanatory notes have been updated to reflect changes in legislation.

·      A last for assessment of superseded versions was specified.
