MITO New Zealand Incorporated has completed the review and revision of the unit standards listed above. The unit standards in bold have been revised.

Summary
As a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications, unit standards from the Motor Industry subfield have been reviewed and revised. These unit standards were reviewed using input from industry and provider representatives. It was decided to set a date for 5 years in the future for the next full review to take place.
Main changes
Reviewed unit standards
· Changes were made to the outcome statements, evidence requirements and range statements to enhance clarity and ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Unit standard 21719 was raised from 1 credit to 3 credits to better reflect the time taken to achieve the requirements of this standard.
· Unit standard 24083 was designated expiring and will not be replaced. It will expire at the end of December 2020.
· Unit standard 947 was reviewed to remove duplicate content and the credit value decreased from 8 credits to 6 credits. A last date for assessment for the most recent superseded version of this standard has not been specified to allow for its use in multiple industries.
Revised unit standards
Unit standards 21869 and 21715 were revised to align the evidence requirements and range statements with assessment, industry and legislative requirements.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of the review category B and revised unit standards is 31 December 2018, except for unit standard 947 as indicated above. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020
