Summary
During 2012, a mandatory sector review of qualifications in the Justice and Law (Compliance) sector occurred. To support the New Zealand qualifications resulting from the review that were listed in 2015, a suite of new and reviewed unit standards was developed. The development encompassed broad consultation with the sector to ensure that the standards align to the qualification outcomes and meet current and future needs.
Main changes
· Expiring unit standard 18503 was reinstated and reclassified.
· Thirteen unit standards were designated expiring without replacement.
· Ten other unit standards were designated expiring and were replaced by new unit standards.
· Some new unit standards were developed to address gaps required by the New Zealand qualifications.
Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020
