Summary
Unit standard 20198 will be expired and has been replaced by 29315.
It should be noted that although the expiry date of unit standard 20198 is December 2017, it is highly recommended that to meet the requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, providers use the new unit standard 29315 or an approved training scheme.

Learners continuing to use unit standard 20198 until its expiry will be required to undertake ‘top up’ training that will cover the powers as described in the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2015.
Main changes
· Unit standard 20198 will be expired and replaced with unit standard 29315.
· The new unit standard has been reduced to level 3, from level 4.
· The new unit standard has been reduced to 2 credits, from 8 credits.
The Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2017.
