NZ Hair and Beauty Industry Training Organisation Inc (HITO) has rolled over the unit standards listed above to extend their expiry date.

Summary

The Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) in the Hairdressing sector has resulted in a full review of unit standards and development of training and assessment resources.  Unit standards 2882 and 2887 were originally designated to expire on 31 December 2016 and unit standards 2877 and 2888 were designated to expire on 31 December 2017.

It is expected that these review and development processes would take some time and therefore it is necessary to extend the availability of the unit standards listed above to allow time for qualification candidates to complete the requirements of their programmes.  The National Certificate in Hairdressing (Professional Stylist) [Ref: 0022] does not expire until 31 December 2020, so the expiry dates for these unit standards required amendment to align with this date.
