Summary

 

The need was detected for unit standards covering the transition into employment for inductees into Quick Service Restaurants in the hospitality sector.  Standards were drafted to emphasise the essential work skills of new employees are carried out under supervision.  The standards were referred to industry experts and endorsed as fit for purpose.

 

Main changes

 

·      Two new unit standards were developed.

·      Both unit standards were added to the standards exclusion list to avoid the use of credits from the new unit standards and similar expiring unit standard 25493, Perform crew duties in a quick service restaurant and expiring unit standard 25496, Serve customers in a quick service restaurant.
