Summary

The review of the unit standard above was prompted by the outcomes of the mandatory reviews of qualifications.

The unit standard was reviewed to ensure that it was fit for purpose and relevant, to consider its alignment with outcomes listed in the new qualifications, and to ensure it was achievable in a range of settings.  

Consultation on the changes was carried out through a series of meetings with key sector representatives to seek feedback and endorsement.  In addition, the changes were notified through publicity on Careerforce’s website and a survey inviting comment and feedback.

· Outcomes, evidence requirements and range statements were amended.

· The purpose statement was amended.

· Explanatory notes were updated.
