New Zealand Diploma in Design (Advanced Kitchen Design/Advanced Bathroom Design) (Level 6) [Ref: 3222]
Date new versions published April 2016
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2020.
Summary of review and consultation process
This review took place as part of the stakeholder consultation for the mandatory Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) conducted in 2014.
Main changes resulting from the review
· National Certificate in Design (Advanced Kitchen Design) [Ref: 1381] was included in the review, but has already expired.
· National Certificate in Design (Level 2) with strands in Kitchen Design, and Bathroom Design [Ref: 1473] will expire and will not be replaced.

Transition
The last date for entry into programmes leading to the National Certificate in Design (Level 2) with strands in Kitchen Design, and Bathroom Design [Ref: 1473] is 31 December 2017. Candidates currently working towards the expiring qualification must complete the requirements for that qualification by 31 December 2019.
The last date for entry into programmes leading to the National Certificate in Design (Level 4) with strands in Kitchen Design, and Bathroom Design [Ref: 1300] or National Diploma in Design (Kitchen or Bathroom Design) (Level 5) [Ref: 1686] is 31 December 2017. Candidates currently working towards the expiring qualifications may either complete the requirements for that qualification by 31 December 2019, or transfer to the replacement qualification.
It is not intended that anyone be disadvantaged by this review. However, anyone who feels they have been disadvantaged can appeal to BCITO at the contact details below.
