The Infrastructure Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualifications listed above.
Date new versions published November 2016
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2018.
Reason for the revision
Gazetted coverage of water reticulation, water treatment and waste water treatment was transferred to Infrastructure ITO in May 2015. Qualification Developer responsibility for the suite of water qualifications was transferred from Primary ITO to Infrastructure ITO.

The last date for entry into programmes leading to the replaced qualifications is 31 June 2017. The last date of assessment for the replaced qualifications is 31 December 2018.
People currently working towards achievement of these qualifications may either complete the requirements for that qualification by 31 December 2018 or transfer their results to the replacement qualification.
There are substantial differences between the new and the replaced qualifications, and it is recommended that candidates complete the qualification in which they are enrolled.

There are no registered programmes leading to Version 1 of these qualifications.
All new candidates are expected to enrol in Version 2 from the date of publication.
It is the intention of Infrastructure ITO that no existing trainee should be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.
