The Skills Organisation (Skills) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published November 2016
Planned review date 31 December 2021
Summary
The unit standards were reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose, relevant to the Switchgear and Electrotechnology industries, and aligned with the graduate profile outcomes of the New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Switchgear Fitting) (Level 4) with an optional Electrical Installer strand [Ref: 3470].
Industry representatives from the Qualification Development Group were involved in the review and writing of these unit standards, and provided feedback on them.
Main changes
· Changes were made to accurately reflect industry terminology, practice, and evidence requirements.
· 11 unit standards have been designated expiring and replaced by 10 new unit standards.
· Four new unit standards have been developed.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2020. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2021
