Summary
Unit standard 22915 was reviewed to align with the following recently registered New Zealand Certificates in Mechanical Engineering: New Zealand Certificate in Dairy Systems (Engineering) (Level 4) with strands in Milking Systems and Pumping Systems [Ref: 2561], New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Building Services (Trade) (Level 4) [Ref: 2717], and New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) with strands in Fitting and Machining, General Engineering, Machining, Maintenance Engineering, Metal Forming, and Toolmaking [Ref: 2714]. This will also meet Competenz’ s ongoing unit standard review schedule.
The review was carried out in consultation with the mechanical industry technical experts.
The changes made were endorsed by the industry technical group.
Main changes
· Changes were made to evidence requirements to clarify assessment requirements to ensure alignment with current industry requirements and to correct grammatical errors.
· Explanatory notes and evidence requirements were updated to reflect current legislation and its requirements.
