Summary

As a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications, it was decided to revise unit standard 21709 to ensure it meets industry requirements and does not create barriers for learners.

Main changes

·         The credit value was raised by one to better reflect the time taken to achieve the requirements of this unit standard.

·         Entry information was updated.

·         Changes were made to the range statement listed under explanatory notes, and one evidence requirement was deleted to remove barriers for learner achievement.

·         Ranges listed under evidence requirements were deleted as they are unnecessary given that the task undertaken already dictates the requirements.
