Summary
As a result of the Targeted Review of Qualifications process, Primary ITO has reviewed a number of unit standards to better reflect the requirements of the outcomes listed in new qualifications. Primary ITO has also developed a number of new unit standards to meet industry need and reflect the outcomes listed in the new qualifications.
Key stakeholders and organisations with consent to assess have had the opportunity to review these unit standards and offer feedback. This consultation was through an online survey which ran for three weeks in June 2016. All feedback were actioned where appropriate.
Main changes
· Two unit standards have been replaced by new unit standards. Unit 24646 was split as not all learners complete both parts of the unit (‘establish’ and ‘maintain’), and 21028 had substantial changes which significantly changed the unit outcome and required a new unit ID.
· Twelve new unit standards were developed.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020
