Planned review date                                                                           December 2021

Summary

This review was undertaken as part of the review of standards in the Aircraft Operation domain.  Extensive consultation took place with a very legislative-ruled industry.  CAA legislation was updated as were levels and credits to reflect responsibilities and risks.

Main changes

·      All explanatory notes have been updated to reflect current legislation requirements.

·      Credits for standards 23429, 23430, 26178, 26180, 26182, 26184, 26190, 26200, 26205, 26217, 26218, 26805, 26810, 26812, 26817, 26838, and 27183 were raised to better reflect required to complete.

·      Credits for standards 26820 and 27391 were lowered to better reflect time required for completion.

·      The levels for standards 26177, 26180, 26181, 26192-26196, 26198, 26200, 26218, 26804, 26809, 26815, 26816, and 26833 were increased due to better reflect the complexity of skills in the standards.

·      The levels for standards 26814 and 26834 were lowered to better reflect the complexity of skills in the standards.

·      The tittles for standards 26177, 26190, 26200, 26208, 26210, 26211, 26817, and 27185 were changed to better reflect the content.

·      Stanard 16330 was set to expire with no replacement due to lack of usage.

The Category D unit standard will expire at the end of December 2017

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is December 2018
