Summary
As a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications, unit standards from the Plastics Fabrication domain have been reviewed. These unit standards were updated using input from industry representatives. It was decided to set a date for 5 years for the next full review to take place.
Main changes
· Changes were made to the explanatory notes, definitions, outcome statements, evidence requirements and range statements of the unit standards for clarity and to ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Some specialist content was moved from 25610 to 10980 and 10987.
· The credit values of 10987 and 25610 were adjusted to ensure the credits represented the time taken to achieve the unit standards.
· The standards were moved from CMR 0114 to CMR 0014.
· A last date for assessment of superseded versions was specified. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2018
