NZQA National Qualifications Services has completed the review of the 21 Pacific Islands Early Childhood Education (PIECE) unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

The unit standards have not had results reported since before 2010.  All organisations with consent to assess against these standards were advised of the intended expiry and no objections to the proposed expiry were received from them.  Feedback was also invited through consultation on the NZQA website during July 2017, and no feedback objecting to the proposed expiry was received from the consultation.

 

Main changes

 

·      The unit standards were designated expiring without replacement.

·      The domains were designated lapsing, and will expire when the standards expire.

 

These Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2019
