NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published April 2017
Planned review date December 2021
Summary
The Māori Business and Management unit standards were looked at as part of their review cycle. The Whakaruruhau postponed the review of these standards until the New Zealand Certificate in Māori Business and Management qualifications at Levels 3 and 4 were listed on the NZQF, which has since occurred.
The Whakaruruhau also took the opportunity to expire 8 unit standards (three of which were replaced by two new standards) that were no longer deemed relevant or fit for purpose.
Main changes
· The titles of unit standards 2608, 2896, 10667, 23091, 23092, 23094 and 23095 were changed in line with amendments made to the standards or to better reflect the standards’ outcomes.
· Credit values were increased for standards 10667 and 23093, and decreased for standards 23091, 23092 and 23095, to accurately reflect the time required for learning, study, and assessment.
· Changes to purpose statements, explanatory notes, outcomes, evidence requirements, and range statements were made to ensure their clarity for users.
· The entry information for unit standard 23092 was removed as it referred to an expired unit standard.
· Unit standards 2894, 10670, 10673, 10694 and 27101 were designated expiring with no replacements.
· Unit standard 2893 was replaced by new unit standard 30077, and unit standards 16071 and 16072 were replaced by new unit standard 30078.
· A last date for assessment of the previous versions of the Category B unit standards was specified. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after this last date for assessment.
Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2019
