Date new versions published                                                          April 2017

Planned review date                                                                           December 2018

Summary

From January 2017, the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) officially gazetted Primary ITO as the standard setting body responsible for the Petrochemical Industry.  This revision and rollover of the Petrochemical Industry unit standards has been carried out to complete the transfer of standard setting responsibility from the NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO) to Primary ITO.  These revised unit standards will be transferred from MITO’s CMR 0114 to CMR 0079.  CMR 0079 is being revised accordingly.

Once this process is completed, a full review of these unit standards is expected to take place on or before 31 December 2018.

Main changes

·      Legislation, references, and explanatory notes were updated for currency and accuracy.

·      References to MITO and Extractives Industry Training Organisation were removed.

·      ITO contact details were amended.

·      The standards are now covered by CMR 0079.

·      The planned review date was updated.

·      A last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards was specified.  Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded versions.

Impact on Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR)

CMR 0079 is being revised to refer to these unit standards.  CMR 0114 will be revised by MITO to remove the current reference to these standards.
