Summary
The review is of unit standards associated with the use of data and statistics for policy development. They are listed in the expiring National Certificate in Public Sector Services (Official Statistics) (Level 5) [Ref: 1283], since replaced by the New Zealand Certificate in the Use of Data and Statistics for Policy Development (Level 5) [Ref: 3637].
The focus of the review is alignment with the Graduate Profile Outcomes (GPOs) of the New Zealand Certificate.
Main changes
· One unit standard was replaced by a new unit standard.
· Four unit standards were updated in terms of content and two of these had a credit increase.
· Although still classified in the Public Sector Core Skills domain, the unit standards were made accessible to practitioners not necessarily employed in the public sector.
· A last date for assessment of superseded versions of reviewed standards was specified.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2020
