Summary

HITO is developing programmes leading towards recently listed New Zealand qualifications for the beauty sector.

As part of these processes, it was noted that the credit value assigned to unit standard 29592 was too high in relation to other unit standards in the Beauty Therapy domain.

In addition, a new unit standard has been developed to ensure programme content will meet the requirements of the qualifications.

· Credits for unit standard 29592 were reduced from 20 to 15.

· A new unit standard was developed.
