Summary
As a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications, unit standards from the Motor Industry subfield have been reviewed. These unit standards were reviewed using input from industry and provider representatives. It was decided to set a date for 5 years for the next full review to take place.
Main changes
· Changes were made to the explanatory notes, evidence requirements and range statements of the unit standards for clarity and to ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Unit standard 23742 was raised from a Level 3 to Level 4 and the credits were decreased from 5 to 4 credits; and unit standard 23987 was raised from a Level 3 to Level 4 to better reflect the skill level and time needed to achieve the unit standard requirements.
· The title of unit standard 23987 was amended.
· A last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards was specified.
Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
