Summary

 

These unit standards were identified by industry as containing out of date information.

 

These unit standards were reviewed by several wine specialists and changes were made to evidence requirements and ranges to keep them current.  It was identified through consultation that the amount of work required to meet unit standard 23060 was far greater than the level or credits allowed for, therefore the decision was made to separate out the different sections to allow a greater scope and focus to be applied to the requirements, allowing users to spend sufficient time to learn each area.

 

The reviewed and new unit standards were endorsed by the advisory group which included training providers.

 

Main changes

 

·      Minor corrections were made to unit standard references in the explanatory notes.

·      Outcome statements, evidence requirements, and range statements in all unit standards were checked and updated to ensure they are fit for purpose and enhance clarity.

·      The credit value of standard 4638 decreased from 6 credits to 4 credits.

·      Unit standard 23060 was set to expire and replaced by three new unit standards to allow a greater scope and focus to be applied, and reflect actual learning hours.

 

Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2019
