Summary of
review and consultation process
During 2013-16, a
mandatory sector review of qualifications in the Public Sector and Local
Government sector occurred. The review
encompassed broad consultation with the sector and training provider
stakeholders to ensure that the new qualifications meet current and future
needs. The review resulted in the
recommendation that the national qualifications listed above should be replaced
by New Zealand qualifications. The New
Zealand qualifications have been published so the national qualifications will,
therefore, be phased out.
