Summary
The standards in this domain were due for review. They were examined, over a period of five months with advice gathered from industry.
The review process was channelled through the Sector Manager – Tourism who compiled feedback from the team and clients. The standards were then endorsed by the advisory group as fit for use in the tourism industry.
Main changes
· The title of standard 19425 was changed to emphasise the importance of legal requirements.
· The explanatory notes for the standards were clarified.
· Minor changes were made to evidence requirements and range statements of the standards.
· A last date for assessment of superseded versions was specified. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2018.
