Summary
These unit standards have been reviewed as a result of work carried out by MITO on the Targeted Review of Qualifications. The unit standards were reviewed using input from industry and provider representatives. The next full review will take place in 5 years’ time.
Main changes
· Changes were made to the explanatory notes (guidance information), evidence requirements (performance criteria) and range statements of the unit standards for clarity and to ensure alignment with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Unit standards 24461 and 24463 had new outcomes added. The credits were unchanged as industry considered they were right for the overall content of the standards.
· Unit standard 24462 was designated expiring and is being replaced by 30220 and 30221. Content from outcomes 1, 2 and 5 was included in 30220, content from outcome 3 was included in 30221 and content from outcome 4 was not included in either of the new standards.
· Last dates for assessment of superseded versions of Category B standards were specified.
The Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2019
