MITO New Zealand Incorporated has completed the review of the qualifications listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

Between 2013 and 2016, a mandatory sector review of qualifications for the motor industry occurred. The review encompassed broad consultation with industry and training provider stakeholders to ensure that any new qualifications meet current and future needs.

The review resulted in a recommendation that the national qualification listed above should be phased out without replacement as it no longer meets stakeholder needs.
