Date new versions published                                                              October 2017

Planned review date                                                                               December 2022

Summary

The review of these standards was initiated following the listing of Level 4 New Zealand Certificates in Plumbing, in Gasfitting, and in Drainlaying, to ensure that they are fit for purpose, relevant to the Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Drainlaying (PGD) sectors and are readily available for assessment.  Industry representatives from the PGD Sector Review and Qualification Development Groups were involved in the review and writing of these unit standards and provided feedback on the unit standards.

Main changes

·      Changes were made to accurately reflect sector terminology, changing trade practices, and emerging materials.

·      Ten unit standards were reviewed as Category C and replaced by fourteen new standards.

·      One new unit standard was developed.

Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2022
