Competenz has completed the republication of the qualifications listed above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2020.

Summary of review and consultation process

This republication to extend last dates of enrolment and assessment of National qualifications took place to allow Competenz sufficient time to develop a full range of training and assessment resources for the New Zealand qualifications listed.   This also allows candidates enrolled in the National qualifications sufficient and realistic time frames to complete their qualifications or to be transitioned to the New Zealand qualifications once programmes are registered.

Main changes

• The last date for enrolment into programmes leading to all National Certificates was extended to 31 December 2018.
• The last date of assessment for National qualifications [Ref: 1220] and [Ref: 1545] was extended to 31 December 2020.
• The last date of assessment for National qualifications [Refs: 0122, 0124, 0129, 0452 and 1262] was extended to 31 December 2022.
• Reverse transition arrangements for expiring or expired unit standards were included in the affected qualifications. 
• Republication information was updated in the replacement New Zealand Certificates. 

Transition

It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.  However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to Competenz at the address below.  Appeals will be considered on a case by case basis.
