The NZ Marine and Composites Industry Training Organisation (NZMAC ITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

NZMAC ITO carried out a review of these standards to better align them to the graduate outcomes of the New Zealand qualifications relating to the marine industry, and also to reflect the new health and safety legislation.

 

Industry and subject matter experts provided feedback and input into the review of these unit standards.  Consultation with consent to assess holders was carried out by email.

 

Main changes

 

·      Credits increased for some standards to better reflect the learning and assessment time involved.

·      The levels of unit standards 15450 and 23940 increased to better reflect the level of the outcomes.

·      Content of the unit standards and some titles and were updated to better reflect the standard outcomes.

·      Guidance Information was updated to reflect the changes in legislation.

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of Category B unit standards is 31 December 2018
