Summary
The above unit standards were reviewed in conjunction with industry to update references to delegated authority for biosecurity from the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), update references to legislation, and clarify the coverage of skills and assessment requirements to align with current industry practices. The CMR was updated to reflect Competenz CMR 0013.
Main changes
· Unit Standard 156 had minor changes made to performance criteria to meet current industry requirements.
· Unit standard 24776 had references updated to reflect a change from Biosecurity New Zealand (BNZ) to MPI and minor changes to reflect current industry terms and practices. Level was raised to 5, and credits raised to 10 to align the skills with NZQF level descriptors.
· Unit standard 5703 had its title changed to more accurately reflect the scope of skills covered by the unit. Outcomes and performance criteria were updated to remove content no longer applicable and clarify assessment requirements to reflect current industry practices.
