Summary
The review of these unit standards was initiated when an early review of the Transmission Line Maintenance qualification was conducted by Transpower, the organisation responsible for electricity transmission in New Zealand. Two new unit standards have been developed to meet the needs of the structure maintenance workers.
The review process followed stakeholder meetings with industry and feedback received from the group on the draft standards was incorporated in the final submission.
Main changes
· Nine unit standards were reviewed.
· Three unit standards had a change in credit value.
· Two new unit standards were developed.
· Unit standard titles and content were updated to better reflect the standard outcomes.
