MITO New Zealand Incorporated has republished and revised the qualifications listed above to reflect the date change for the last date for enrolment of the replaced qualifications and to remove specific conditions for each outcome in the replacement New Zealand qualifications.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The National Qualifications listed above were reviewed following the Targeted Review of Qualifications and were replaced by New Zealand Qualifications.  The reviews encompassed broad consultation with industry and training provider stakeholders to ensure any new qualification meets current and future needs.

 

The National Qualifications outlined above included a last date of enrolment that is prior to when programmes for their replacement New Zealand Qualifications are able to be implemented.

National Certificate in Extractive Industries (Mining Administration B Grade Tunnel Manager) (Level 5) with an optional strand in Coal Mine Deputy [Ref: 1535]

The last date of entry (enrolment) for the qualifications listed above has been extended from 31 December 2017 to 31 December 2018.  The last date of assessment remains unchanged at 31 December 2020.

The qualifications listed above have been reissued with the amended transition information reflecting the extension to the last date of entry for the replaced qualifications. Conditions relating to the graduate profile have been removed.

The qualifications listed above were revised to remove the conditions relating to the graduate profile.

 

Transition

 

It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.  However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to MITO New Zealand Incorporated at the address below.  Appeals will be considered on a case by case basis.
