Republication of Commercial Road Transport qualifications

 

National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Goods Service Senior Driver) (Level 4) [Ref: 1608]

National Certificate in Transportation of Logs by Road (Level 3) [Ref: 1464]

 

MITO New Zealand Incorporated has republished the qualifications listed above to extend the last date for assessment from 31 December 2017 to 31 December 2018.

 

Replacement qualifications

 

New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Senior Driver) (Level 5) [Ref: 3093]

New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Specialist Driver) (Level 4) with strands in Transportation of Logs, Heavy Haulage Transportation, Livestock Transportation, Dangerous Goods Transportation, Waste Transportation, General Cartage, and Groundspreading [Ref: 3091]

 

Main changes resulting from the republication

 

These qualifications were reviewed as part of the Targeted Review of Qualifications and were replaced by New Zealand qualifications.  The reviews encompassed broad consultation with industry and training provider stakeholders to ensure any new qualification meet current and future needs.

 

The replaced qualifications listed above are due to expire before programmes for their replacement New Zealand qualifications are able to be implemented.

The last date of entry (enrolment) for the qualifications listed above has been extended from 31 December 2017 to 31 December 2018. The last date of assessment remains unchanged at 31 December 2019.

The qualifications listed above have been republished with the amended transition information reflecting the extension to the last date of entry for the replaced qualifications.

 

Transition

 

It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.  However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to MITO New Zealand Incorporated at the address below.  Appeals will be considered on a case by case basis.
