Revision of NZQA National Qualifications Services CMR

 

NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has completed the revision of the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) above.

 

Date new version published                                                             September 2017

 

The next CMR review is planned to take place during 2020.

 

Summary of Revision

 

The revision of CMR 0113 involved industry or sector-specific requirements for the provision and assessment of Supported Learning unit standards, and additional non-compliance with moderation requirements.

 

The Health and Disabilities Commission requested the inclusion of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumer Rights to ensure all provision and assessment is in accordance with the principles of this code.

 

The non-compliance with moderation requirements actions that may be taken by NZQA were revised.

 

Compliance with new requirements

 

Requirements for consent to assess will apply with effect from September 2017

 

Non-compliance with moderation system requirements actions that may be taken will apply with effect from September 2017.

 

Organisations with consent to assess will be expected to be able to demonstrate compliance with the CMR from March 2018 onwards.

Industry or sector-specific requirements for consent to assess

ˇ         A statement has been added to ensure that all provision and assessment of Supported Learning unit standards is in accordance with the principles of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumer Rights.

 

Non-compliance with moderation requirements

ˇ           Bullets now reflect that targeted additional moderation and focussed reviews of assessment practice can occur.
