Summary

The review of these unit standards was prompted by the outcomes of the mandatory review of qualifications, specifically the listing of:

• New Zealand Certificate in Facility Operations (Level 4) [Ref: 3647].

Feedback from stakeholders was gathered through an open consultation process and used to guide the development of the industry training programmes for the qualifications above, and the development and review of the associated unit standards.

One reviewed unit standard was found to no longer be fit for purpose, relevant nor aligned with outcomes listed in the new qualifications.

New unit standards were developed to meet industry needs for facility operations.

Main changes

· The title, content, and credits of unit standard 25079 were amended to reflect current industry expectations.

· Unit standard 8563 was designated expiring and replaced by new unit standard 31144.

· Two new unit standards were developed.

The Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2020

The last date for assessment of the superseded versions of the Category B unit standard is 31 December 2020
